Thanks to all for the feedback on Beta 2. Lots of bugs were taken care of last week, especially the bug that deleted the post content after adding an image. So, Beta 3 this week! This should be considered a release candidate, so if you see anything strange be sure to post here about it. @chippy, the Dashboard should look better on your Galaxy Tab now, take a look please.

@ievolver, I’ve been working on the few remaining touches to WPAndroid 2.0, I took the quick photo icon from WPiOS, lightened it up a bit and put it on the formatting toolbar. I wish it could convey ‘video’ somehow as well but I think it works for now.
I like it, although I did make an Android specific icon (it’s very similar). This works but we should update it again if we have time – a + next to it would make sense, too.

Ahh thanks, I had an Android 4.0 target. After setting to 3.0, deleting R.java and regenerating, it works fine. Although the emulator is horribly slow (worse than 2.2 / 2.3.3 emulators). I guess a perfect Christmas present would be a tablet now :>

I’ve found a bug with adding an image. It deletes text below the image.

That’s a good one. The app also looks goofy on your device, there’s no text under the dashboard buttons.
WPAndroid 2.0 on the Kindle Fire works ok, but the layout doesn’t quite look right since it isn’t considered an ‘xlarge’ size. I think we’ll need to add more layout files for large-mdpi in order to target the smaller tablets. I’ll take a look at that this week.
Makes sense to make this a part of 2.0 Final. We should make sure the most popular tablets work well.

Droid X — app force closes when trying to view any stats other than the number of overall views. Can’t access post/page views, referrers, clicks, or search terms.
It also force closes when trying to view anything other than the default 7-day View stats. Cannot view Today, 30Days, etc. Force close every time.

My phone IS rooted, so that could very well be the issue.
Yeah, you’re right. We used a different URL in 1.5.1 to fix that lame root issue. Added it back into the latest build that’s at the same link above, give it a go.
Also app FCed when I tried to add a new self-hosted blog. Curiously enough, the blog was added and seems to work.
Force Close on a Transformer when viewing Stats and switching to Posts from Views.
Tried editing a post that is scheduled for a later date, and it screwed all of the html code up. It deleted half the code I already had set. Had to redo the code from the WP site on the web.
What code did it delete? Some examples would help us figure out what is happening.
It deleted some text formatting code (header tag, p tag), the code to center some text, and it broke down the code for a pic’s caption. It really just completely screwed up every bit of code in the post.
On my Transformer, don’t seem to see images in editing mode most of the time. I’m sure i saw them there once or twice, but in most cases I see the code instead. If I’m not mistaken, I should be able to see the images and edit their settings from edit mode.

Issue 1: Code is not being displayed in Source code format when we have used

Photo / image issues:
If doing New Post, I can’t add media anymore – there’s no Add Media button? Big sad face. If I want to add a photo, I know I can do Quick Photo, but what if I’ve already taken the photo and want to add it?
Force close (replicated several times) if I select a photo from my camera’s gallery and select “Share” -> “WordPress” -> then select the blog name, then I get : “The application (proces org.wordpress.android) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Can you install from the same link above and try the image sharing again? It should be better now. The ‘Add Media’ button was moved to the formatting bar, so you tap the content area and then the paperclip icon on the right of the bar.
Also, I fixed the post sharing with the wp.me links, give that a try.

@chippy I get a force closed when trying to share a website from the browser. When editing a post, the done button does not work, I have to hit the back button. When trying to post a link, the symbols are stripped from the html code.

I uninstalled, rebooted by tablet, deleted the WordPress folder and reinstalled. I don’t have the frorce close problem, but I still have the share webpage link problem. I also had this problem in version 1.5.1 see the example below:

I have the problem even if I manually edit the html from the application, when it is posted it still strips out the grater than/less than characters.

I have similar problems to Gino. Instant crash when trying to Share from browser. Can’t move past entry field without hitting back button. I’m on a Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic Touch 4G with Android 2.3.6. Version 1.5 of WP for Android worked like a charm.

courios, I have installed the beta 3. and I have 2 Blogs.
at the first blog, when I wrote an article the more Tag shows in the
1st blog like this and this works.
at the second blog, http://androidblogger.eu when I use the more Tag in an HTML Editor the Tag shows. this ……..More I won’t work. The Blogs runs with wordpress 3.2.1 german

I’m not sure if anyone reported this but I used the ‘Quick photo’ and when I check the post on my blog, it adds [obj] to the post, even if you use the_excerpt.
